CoxAllen & Associates is a single-discipline architectural firm, located in downtown Louisville, KY. Our firm is comprised of registered architects and technical & support staff. Alvin J. Cox, AIA, President of CoxAllen, has been practicing architecture for over 40 years, and formed CoxAllen & Associates, Architects with partner David M. Allen, AIA in 2003.

As a small business, CoxAllen takes the concept of collaboration seriously for each project. Our teams frequently include historic architectural specialists, mechanical/electrical engineers, structural engineers, fire protection engineers, security consultants, audio-visual consultants, seismic and blast specialists, geotechnical engineers, communication specialists (RCDDs), lighting designers, hazardous material consultants, surveyors, civil engineers, and landscape architects. Our diverse experience allows us to adapt our team to have the flexibility and specialties required for each particular project’s requirements. CoxAllen understands the variety of approaches to design, programming, decision-making, project schedules and funding sources, as well as design aesthetics and design goals that are integral in each project scope. Our design team intensely works in partnership with our clients and other project stakeholders to ensure focus on unified objectives, and therefore, overall project success.
